Some news, even with a bit of new ‘content’ (justified misgivings re that word aside) added to the page!
The past weekend, I attended my first (and twelfth overall) Language Creation Conference. This edition of the event bringing together conlangers and members of the Language Creation Society (LCS) took place at Copenhagen University, organised (exceedingly well!) by a team led by Carl Avlund in cooperation with the LCS.
Presenters from manifold fields and countries – primarily having in common a palpable passion for constructed languages – gave talks or led workshops related to the topic to an even more international and diverse audience. Volunteers from the LCS and Copenhagen University kindly live-streamed and also recorded all presentations; a playlist is available on the LCS YouTube for the perusal of anyone interested.
I enjoyed all the talks I attended (too few, unfortunately), and am thrilled and thankful that I was given the opportunity to speak about Laut, my autistic conlang project, and the intersection of neurodiversity and (con)linguistics at this conference.
