This is the (largely unedited) text of a so-called Student-Directed Assignment (SDA) that formed part of the module ‘Neurodiversity and the Humanities’ during my MA in Medical Humanities at Durham University. It comprises a fictional guide to the conlang Laut and a brief theoretical commentary that explains how specific features as well as the process of developing this conlang sketch relate to critical neurodiversity studies.
